2015 Maxine Vaitses Memorial Scholarship Call For Entries

Attention graduating High School seniors, the Chelmsford Republican Town Committee is now accepting Maxine Vaitses Memorial Scholarship applications and essays. The minimum scholarship award is $500, and the winner(s) will be determined by the Chelmsford Republican Town Committee’s Maxine Vaitses Memorial scholarship subcommittee.  The award will be given April 23, 2015.

Scholarship candidates include graduating High School seniors who are current Chelmsford residents, attending college in the fall.   Preference will be given to registered Republican applicants.   Alternately for those under age 18, the same preference will be given to applicants with one registered Republican member in their household.

Submissions include an application and essay expressing your opinion of why the First Amendment to the Constitution is so important, using at least one current event and cite at least three historical examples to support your argument.  All essays must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2015 (form and submission directions below)

8. Submit an essay of 1,000 or more words in font size 12 expressing your opinion of which Bill of Rights Amendment to the Constitution is most important. Use at least one current event, and cite at least three historical examples to support your argument.
