89 Dodge Ram Stalss When Idling?

Hey I have an 89 Dodge Ram D100 pickup that is havin idle issues. First I need to give it gas as i start it otherwise it will just turn over and then die instantly. Then if i let it idle it will idle normal then idle low, jerk a bit, then idle back up,

you need to have the fuel pressure checked on it and the throttle position sensor,if the sensor goes bad that alone will stall it out all the time,so will a bad idle air control valve on it or a bad set of plugs,my guess is they,ll want to do a good tune
